The current pandemic of Coronavirus is causing unprecedented trouble at a global level.<\/p>
This pandemic began from Wuhan, China…<\/p>
The President of the USA, Donald Trump has declared a national emergency on March 13th, 2020.<\/p>
With an abrupt rise to a pandemic state, even the United States has found great fear among its people.<\/p>
Just as the original sin of Adam and Eve had brought in death to the entire humanity…<\/p>
Yet our God has still loved us and sent his only son, Jesus Christ to this world and that whoever believes him will be God’s children and know the purposes of their lives.\u00a0As a result, we will not perish but have everlasting life.
<\/p>
Recently, there were two confirmed cases of Coronavirus patients at Manhattan Beach and one parent of a Palos Verdes elementary school was also diagnosed with the virus. This illness has clearly invaded our daily lives and we not only have to be careful ourselves but pray even more fervently for the health of our Cornerstone families.\u00a0The hour has come now to look toward God’s guidance and providence.

Worship is our most important element of our being.<\/p>
The forefathers of our faith worshipped God under all persecution and did not hesitate even from martyrdom.
<\/p>
Now, as I was deeply meditating on how we can glorify God in our generation, I was reminded of the scripture from 1 Corinthians 10:31 “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God”.\u00a0We are Christ’s body and that means we have a duty to take good care of our spiritual and physical bodies.<\/p>
Again, it is our duty to overcome this current pandemic with God’s grace and wisdom.<\/p>
We belong to His body and congregational worship is fundamental to us but God also allowed a medium, YouTube, which we can use to worship in this state of emergency.<\/p>
From 20 years ago, Cornerstone church has been broadcasting all of worship live to all parts of the world.<\/p>
How grateful we are for that capability.

The local school districts have closed schools for the safety of our children.<\/p>
Disneyland has closed all theme parks.\u00a0\u00a0NBA, MLB and other sports leagues have decided to postpone their seasons.<\/p>
Now it is up to us.<\/p>
How can the church give glory to God under these circumstances?<\/p>
As we wrestled in prayer and sought answers in His Scripture, we had long and serious discussions with the members of our church to conclude that we will continue worshipping on Sunday.

Wednesday Night Worship at 7:30 PM will be broadcasted live via YouTube<\/p>
Friday Night Worship for Jr. and Sr. High School and College\/Young will be broadcasting live via YouTube.<\/p>
<\/p>
Sunday School and Jr High\/High School will not be gathering at church for worship.<\/p>
For Sunday School, we will record a 15-20 minute video of praise and scripture and upload it to Youtube and in the morning we will send out the links. We encourage you to watch the link together with your children and have a time of sharing afterward.

As we face this worldwide pandemic, Cornerstone believers will be more than conquerors through available measures such as YouTube and discretionary gatherings at our chapel to worship.<\/p>
At the same time, I think it would be great to have family worship at our homes and bear the fruit of God’s blessings during this time.<\/p>
For our upcoming Sunday worship, please make sure you are dressed neatly and respectfully for worship just like any other Sunday and prepare your offering and refrain from all other distractions such as mobile phones and worship with us via live broadcast through YouTube.\u00a0

As the Lord allows this Coronavirus pandemic pass through, let Cornerstone church spur one another on towards meeting together and worship our God Almighty even more passionately.<\/p>
For those of you who have recently traveled to South Korea or Italy, please exercise self-quarantine for 14 days and worship via live YouTube broadcast.<\/p>
For those with high fever, flu symptoms and coughing, please worship via the live YouTube broadcast.<\/p>

Here is the guidance on proper worship during the live YouTube broadcast.<\/p>
1) Consecrate your mind and body before God and put on your clean and respectful church attire.<\/p>
2) Have a Bible and Hymnal ready.<\/p>
3) Complete your preparations 10 minutes before the actual start of worship.<\/p>
4) Gather family members and sit together for YouTube live worship.<\/p>
5) Turn on the live YouTube broadcast.<\/p>
6) Concentrate on worship and do not be distracted by any other tasks or chat with others.<\/p>
7) Provide your offering and send it to church on the same week.<\/p>
8) After worship has finished, encourage and bless each other.<\/p>
