19	예수의 어머니와 그 동생들이 왔으나 무리로 인하여 가까이 하지 못하니
20	어떤 이가 알리되 당신의 어머니와 동생들이 당신을 보려고 밖에 서있나이다
21	예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 내 어머니와 내 동생들은 곧 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 행하는 이 사람들이라 하시니라
22	하루는 제자들과 함께 배에 오르사 그들에게 이르시되 호수 저편으로 건너가자 하시매 이에 떠나
23	행선할 때에 예수께서 잠이 드셨더니 마침 광풍이 호수로 내리치매 배에 물이 가득하게 되어 위태한지라
24	제자들이 나아와 깨워 이르되 주여 주여 우리가 죽겠나이다 한대 예수께서 잠을 깨사 바람과 물결을 꾸짖으시니 이에 그쳐 잔잔하여지더라
25	제자들에게 이르시되 너희 믿음이 어디 있느냐 하시니 그들이 두려워하고 놀랍게 여겨 서로 말하되 그가 누구이기에 바람과 물을 명하매 순종하는가 하더라

Jesus’ Mother and Brothers

19 Then his mother and his brothers¹ came to him, but they could not reach him because of the crowd. 20 And he was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see you.” 21 But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.”

Jesus Calms a Storm

22 One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.” So they set out, 23 and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger. 24 And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?”
