10	내 아들아 들으라 내 말을 받으라 그리하면 네 생명의 해가 길리라
11	내가 지혜로운 길을 네게 가르쳤으며 정직한 길로 너를 인도하였은즉
12	다닐 때에 네 걸음이 곤고하지 아니하겠고 달려갈 때에 실족하지 아니하리라
13	훈계를 굳게 잡아 놓치지 말고 지키라 이것이 네 생명이니라
14	사악한 자의 길에 들어가지 말며 악인의 길로 다니지 말지어다
15	그의 길을 피하고 지나가지 말며 돌이켜 떠나갈지어다
16	그들은 악을 행하지 못하면 자지 못하며 사람을 넘어뜨리지 못하면 잠이 오지 아니하며
17	불의의 떡을 먹으며 강포의 술을 마심이니라
18	의인의 길은 돋는 햇살 같아서 크게 빛나 한낮의 광명에 이르거니와
19	악인의 길은 어둠 같아서 그가 걸려 넘어져도 그것이 무엇인지 깨닫지 못하느니라
20	내 아들아 내 말에 주의하며 내가 말하는 것에 네 귀를 기울이라
21	그것을 네 눈에서 떠나게 하지 말며 네 마음 속에 지키라
22	그것은 얻는 자에게 생명이 되며 그의 온 육체의 건강이 됨이니라
23	모든 지킬 만한 것 중에 더욱 네 마음을 지키라 생명의 근원이 이에서 남이니라
24	구부러진 말을 네 입에서 버리며 비뚤어진 말을 네 입술에서 멀리하라
25	네 눈은 바로 보며 네 눈꺼풀은 네 앞을 곧게 살펴
26	네 발이 행할 길을 평탄하게 하며 네 모든 길을 든든히 하라
27	좌로나 우로나 치우치지 말고 네 발을 악에서 떠나게 하라

Proverbs 4:10–27 (Listen)

10   Hear, my son, and accept my words,
    that the years of your life may be many.
11   I have taught you the way of wisdom;
    I have led you in the paths of uprightness.
12   When you walk, your step will not be hampered,
    and if you run, you will not stumble.
13   Keep hold of instruction; do not let go;
    guard her, for she is your life.
14   Do not enter the path of the wicked,
    and do not walk in the way of the evil.
15   Avoid it; do not go on it;
    turn away from it and pass on.
16   For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong;
    they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble.
17   For they eat the bread of wickedness
    and drink the wine of violence.
18   But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn,
    which shines brighter and brighter until full day.
19   The way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
    they do not know over what they stumble.
20   My son, be attentive to my words;
    incline your ear to my sayings.
21   Let them not escape from your sight;
    keep them within your heart.
22   For they are life to those who find them,
    and healing to all their¹ flesh.
23   Keep your heart with all vigilance,
    for from it flow the springs of life.
24   Put away from you crooked speech,
    and put devious talk far from you.
25   Let your eyes look directly forward,
    and your gaze be straight before you.
26   Ponder² the path of your feet;
    then all your ways will be sure.
27   Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
    turn your foot away from evil.
