1	이스라엘 왕 여로보암 제이십칠년에 유다 왕 아마샤의 아들 아사랴가 왕이 되니
2	그가 왕이 될 때에 나이가 십육 세라 예루살렘에서 오십이 년간 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 여골리야라 예루살렘 사람이더라
3	아사랴가 그의 아버지 아마샤의 모든 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나
4	오직 산당은 제거하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 여전히 그 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였고
5	여호와께서 왕을 치셨으므로 그가 죽는 날까지 나병환자가 되어 별궁에 거하고 왕자 요담이 왕궁을 다스리며 그 땅의 백성을 치리하였더라
6	아사랴의 남은 사적과 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
7	아사랴가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 다윗 성에 그의 조상들과 함께 장사되고 그의 아들 요담이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
8	유다의 왕 아사랴의 제삼십팔년에 여로보암의 아들 스가랴가 사마리아에서 여섯 달 동안 이스라엘을 다스리며
9	그의 조상들의 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 아니한지라
10	야베스의 아들 살룸이 그를 반역하여 백성 앞에서 쳐죽이고 대신 하여 왕이 되니라
11	스가랴의 남은 사적은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라
12	여호와께서 예후에게 말씀하여 이르시기를 네 자손이 사대 동안 이스라엘 왕위에 있으리라 하신 그 말씀대로 과연 그렇게 되니라

Azariah Reigns in Judah

1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah the son of Amaziah, king of Judah, began to reign. 2 He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. 3 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done. 4 Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and made offerings on the high places. 5 And the LORD touched the king, so that he was a leper¹ to the day of his death, and he lived in a separate house.² And Jotham the king’s son was over the household, governing the people of the land. 6 Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? 7 And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and Jotham his son reigned in his place.

Zechariah Reigns in Israel

8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months. 9 And he did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin. 10 Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him and struck him down at Ibleam and put him to death and reigned in his place. 11 Now the rest of the deeds of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel. 12 (This was the promise of the LORD that he gave to Jehu, “Your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” And so it came to pass.)
