민수기 (Nu) 23:27 - 민수기 (Nu) 24:9

27	발락이 발람에게 또 이르되 오라 내가 너를 다른 곳으로 인도하리니 네가 거기서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주하기를 하나님이 혹시 기뻐하시리라 하고
28	발락이 발람을 인도하여 광야가 내려다 보이는 브올 산꼭대기에 이르니
29	발람이 발락에게 이르되 나를 위하여 여기 일곱 제단을 쌓고 거기 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 준비하소서
30	발락이 발람의 말대로 행하여 각 제단에 수송아지와 숫양을 드리니라
1	발람이 자기가 이스라엘을 축복하는 것을 여호와께서 선히 여기심을 보고 전과 같이 점술을 쓰지 아니하고 그의 낯을 광야로 향하여
2	눈을 들어 이스라엘이 그 지파대로 천막 친 것을 보는데 그 때에 하나님의 영이 그 위에 임하신지라
3	그가 예언을 전하여 말하되 브올의 아들 발람이 말하며 눈을 감았던 자가 말하며
4	하나님의 말씀을 듣는 자, 전능자의 환상을 보는 자, 엎드려서 눈을 뜬 자가 말하기를
5	야곱이여 네 장막들이, 이스라엘이여 네 거처들이 어찌 그리 아름다운고
6	그 벌어짐이 골짜기 같고 강가의 동산 같으며 여호와께서 심으신 침향목들 같고 물가의 백향목들 같도다
7	그 물통에서는 물이 넘치겠고 그 씨는 많은 물가에 있으리로다 그의 왕이 아각보다 높으니 그의 나라가 흥왕 하리로다
8	하나님이 그를 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨으니 그 힘이 들소와 같도다 그의 적국을 삼키고 그들의 뼈들 꺾으며 화살로 쏘아 꿰뚫으리로다
9	꿇어 앉고 누움이 수사자와 같고 암사자와도 같으니 일으킬 자 누구이랴 너를 축복하는 자마다 복을 받을 것이요 너를 저주하는 자마다 저주를 받을지로다

Numbers 23:27–24:9 (Listen)

27 And Balak said to Balaam, “Come now, I will take you to another place. Perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.” 28 So Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, which overlooks the desert.¹ 29 And Balaam said to Balak, “Build for me here seven altars and prepare for me here seven bulls and seven rams.” 30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

Balaam’s Third Oracle

1 When Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he did not go, as at other times, to look for omens, but set his face toward the wilderness. 2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes and saw Israel camping tribe by tribe. And the Spirit of God came upon him, 3 and he took up his discourse and said,

  “The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor,
    the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,²
4   the oracle of him who hears the words of God,
    who sees the vision of the Almighty,
    falling down with his eyes uncovered:
5   How lovely are your tents, O Jacob,
    your encampments, O Israel!
6   Like palm groves³ that stretch afar,
    like gardens beside a river,
  like aloes that the LORD has planted,
    like cedar trees beside the waters.
7   Water shall flow from his buckets,
    and his seed shall be in many waters;
  his king shall be higher than Agag,
    and his kingdom shall be exalted.
8   God brings him out of Egypt
    and is for him like the horns of the wild ox;
  he shall eat up the nations, his adversaries,
    and shall break their bones in pieces
    and pierce them through with his arrows.
9   He crouched, he lay down like a lion
    and like a lioness; who will rouse him up?
  Blessed are those who bless you,
    and cursed are those who curse you.”
