(12) “When Moab appears at her high place, she only wears herself out; when she goes to her shrine to pray, it is to no avail.”

Today Isaiah continuously sends out the messages concerning Moab’s devastation, and for Judah a throne will be established in steadfast love. Moab is going to be judged because of her pride and arrogance and rage. Isaiah says that the people of Moab would be weeping and could not shout any more for the joy over summer fruits and harvest. They will pray and worship at their temple, but it will do them no good.

Isaiah tells Moab that the glory of theirs will be ended within three years and survivors will be very few and feeble. Today’s message teaches us again that we would be powerless before the punishment of God. Our pride and splendor would be of no value to us and be useless and feeble in that day. In response to the message of the day that our God is holiness and justice, I will try to speak about it to someone who has not understood that God will truly judge our sins.
